Billing

Billing Terms

These terms explain paid plans, included minutes, overage packs, renewals, and payment processing once paid plans are available.

Last updated September 15, 2026 · Version 2026-09-15

1. Paid plans

Paid plans include a monthly allowance of generated audio minutes, access to selected premium features, and workspace limits shown on the Pricing page, checkout, or inside your account. The checkout total displayed by the payment provider, including localized tax, is the controlling amount for the transaction.

2. Monthly billing

AltVoice currently offers monthly subscriptions. Unless cancelled before renewal, a monthly plan renews at the then-current monthly price.

3. Generated minutes

Generated minutes are calculated from completed audio output. Limits may be enforced by generation length, estimated duration, account usage, or anti-abuse controls. Unused plan minutes reset at the end of the billing period and do not roll over unless checkout expressly states otherwise. Features described as unlimited are subject to the fair-use rules in the Terms of Service.

4. Top-up minutes

Top-up packs add extra minutes to your account without changing your plan. Top-up balances are intended for legitimate overflow usage, not resale, transfer, pooling, or account sharing. A refund or chargeback for a top-up reverses the associated balance, including unused minutes.

5. Payment processing

Payments, tax calculation, invoices, subscription management, and checkout are handled by our payment provider as merchant of record or payment processor. The provider's checkout terms and payment rules apply in addition to these terms. We do not receive your full card number. You must keep billing details current.

6. Automatic renewal and cancellation

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel from the billing area of your account or through the provider's customer portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period and does not remove access already paid for, unless the account is suspended for fraud, abuse, chargeback, or another policy violation.

7. Trials, upgrades, and downgrades

Free trials and free allowances are one per person and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. When you upgrade during a billing period, the new plan takes effect as shown at checkout, and any proration is calculated by the payment provider. When you downgrade, the change applies at the next renewal unless checkout states otherwise. Minutes already consumed are not restored when a plan changes.

8. Failed payments and billing disputes

If a renewal payment fails, access may enter a grace, past-due, paused, or cancelled state based on the provider's billing status and our access rules. Contact support promptly for duplicate or unauthorized charges. We may suspend access while a chargeback, fraud signal, or ownership dispute is investigated, without limiting mandatory payment-dispute rights.

9. Refunds and service failure

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, the provider's buyer terms, and mandatory consumer law. If paid access is not delivered or is unreasonably delayed, contact us with the transaction reference so we can restore access, replace capacity, issue credit, or arrange a refund through the provider where required.

10. Pricing errors and changes

If a plan or pack is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a typographical or system error, we may cancel the affected order and refund it in full before or shortly after activation. We may change prices, limits, features, or included capacity. Material changes to active paid plans apply no earlier than a future renewal and will be communicated in advance where required by law or the provider. We do not retroactively increase a completed one-time charge.
