Cookie Policy

This Policy identifies the cookies and similar browser-storage technologies AltVoice uses, why they are used, and how you can control optional analytics.

Last updated September 15, 2026 · Version 2026-09-15.1

1. Your choice

Essential storage supports authentication, security, registration, preferences, and features you request. It does not require an analytics choice. AltVoice maintains limited service-usage statistics without analytics cookies or persistent browser storage. Google Analytics is optional and is not loaded until you select “Accept analytics.” Selecting “Only essential” does not reduce access to the core service.

3. Local storage and IndexedDB

AltVoice uses first-party localStorage for your cookie preference and a pseudonymous consent identifier, saved emotion presets, voice-preset favorites, generation settings, and browser-only project or script drafts. These values normally remain until you remove them, clear site data, or the relevant feature replaces them. They are not used for cross-site advertising.

KeyTechnologyPurposeDuration
cv_cookie_consentlocalStorageFallback copy of your versioned cookie choice.180 days or until site data is cleared
cv_cookie_consent_idlocalStorageRandom pseudonymous identifier used to update the server-side consent record.Until site data is cleared

altvoice_saved_scripts_v1 and altvoice_brand_voice_kits_v1localStorageLegacy browser-only content retained for users who previously used those workspaces.Until removed or site data is cleared
altvoice_guest_reference_draftIndexedDBThe guest audio-reference file selected before registration.Until consumed, removed, or site data is cleared

A guest reference stored in IndexedDB remains on that device until the draft is consumed or removed, or browser site data is cleared. It is not uploaded merely because it is saved as a local draft.

4. Service-usage statistics

To understand use of the service, AltVoice processes limited data such as the page visited, date, approximate country, device category, and a temporary pseudonymous marker. This measurement does not place or read analytics information on your device. Temporary markers are normally removed within 32 days, and non-identifying aggregate statistics may be retained without a fixed expiry to preserve historical usage totals.

5. Consent evidence

When you accept or reject analytics, we record the current decision, policy version, timestamps of acceptance or withdrawal, and pseudonymous hashes derived from the consent identifier and available network data, together with limited browser information. This record is used to prove and honor your choice, resolve disputes, and demonstrate compliance. It is not used for advertising. Consent evidence is normally retained for up to seven years where reasonably needed for compliance or legal claims, then deleted or irreversibly anonymized unless law requires longer.

6. Change or withdraw consent

Open “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time. Rejecting analytics disables future Google Analytics collection and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies from this domain. A provider may retain data already lawfully collected before withdrawal according to its retention settings and applicable law. Clearing browser site data also removes local preferences and may cause the banner to appear again.

7. Error monitoring, checkout, and external services

AltVoice uses Sentry for error monitoring. When a page or request fails, technical details of the error and your IP address are sent to Sentry so we can fix the problem. Sentry does not set cookies or browser storage on this site and is not used for advertising or analytics.

When paid plans are available, checkout takes you into a payment experience operated by our payment provider, which may use storage necessary for checkout, fraud prevention, payment security, and buyer support under its own notices. External links may likewise be governed by the destination's cookie policy.
